But before that we have so much other stuff to get through. So yes, get into. It let's start at the top. One thing I want to mention is that last time we did our 51st Dates episode, which you guys haven't listened to, it was a really sweet and fun one. And I missed this connection that one of the uncredited writers who did script revisions on 51st Dates was Babalu Mandel.

2:20 And like, when I saw his name in my research, I just kind of like, I mean, he sounds like a like an Adam Sandler guy, right? So I was like, oh, his name's just familiar because of that. No, that's not why he wrote Fever Pitch. So. That's crazy. Like her two back-to-back films, like the same guy wrote them. It's like or worked on them in some capacity. Yeah. So that I thought that was neat and we had to point that out. Babaloo. Babaloo, sorry about leaving you out buddy, but. That's fun. I know we were like and a bunch of uncredited people.

2:50 It was like just kind of swept it. But yeah, that's cool. I like those little details. I am tidbits galore. Right. All right, let's get into this. Like what crazy pictures that just got posted on Drew's Instagram? Oh my gosh, It was like a trend I saw. Reese Witherspoon did it too. It's like, mom, what were you like in the 90s? And then it just posts a bunch of photos. But unlike Reese's, which were just like Getty Images. Right. Theresa from her archive so Karina, her social media girl just happened to pull like some we'd seen before.

3:23 They're still amazing, but they've like been shared. And then there was three we have never seen in any capacity that just floored us. All like are they all 95 or is 194? Yeah, 9495. It's like, we'll just, we're just, Oh my God. I mean, we could just talk about them a little bit. I don't even know how to like. One of them is definitely an outtake of something that we had seen before of Drew with Eric Erlinson from Interview magazine. Oh my gosh. It's so cool. I like it is weird. It just does feel like an outtake, even though it's not a.

4:04 It's like a personal picture. But I was just like, Oh my God, this is like the same day in a different picture. Like how incredible after 31 years for that to appear. I mean clearly her social media gal has like no clue that these things are like not shared elsewhere. I have my phone here because I wanted to read. She actually sent us a message because we reposted the video just like Oh my God, these photos. And she messaged us and said, oh, I know it's good when even you don't have the photos. Wow.

4:34 It must be like, just give us all the photos. Give us access to them all. They're probably on like a Google Drive. Damn it, I. Know I'm thinking so too. So I really appreciate that even if it's just two people that they like that I put them in order of the way we talk about them because it's really important to me because I'm crazy like that. So I'm glad there's other people that feel the same way. I love it so much and we just like we're always like, go to the site, see that pictures, like you spend energy on that.

It made me kind of wish, like, our YouTube episodes could have the visual elements, but I honestly feel like we'd need like someone like another person to do that for us because like, we're already so bogged down. Or we'd have to make a slideshow. Every time, which just right, which is a ton of work. So I would love to get there eventually, but I think we need to be like able to hire somebody for that. Or yeah, or just have like more time when this is our actual job, guys, we're gonna have all the visuals when this is our job.

Life said. Growing up alongside you has been flipping splendid. You are pure joy, Drew. Pure joy. You love it And then this one is from Vintage Monsters 78. When I discovered Drew as a young adult, I became enamored and didn't know why. I collected every magazine and picture with her in it and plastered them on my bedroom walls.

10:15 I watched all of her movies. When I realized I was gay, it all made sense to me. No wonder I was so enthralled and had her everywhere. Drew was the one to help me realize who I was and for that she will always be my favorite. I. Know I loved that. This last comment I didn't realized who it was from at. Care Bears officially the Care Bears Instagram. So at Care Bears commented, I feel like she had a funshine bear. Which is the yellow one with the sunshine on its belly? Yes, Care Bears, you totally got the vibe.

10:51 I love that, Care Bears responded. These are all great. I mean, I love, you know, multiple times sunshine is mentioned. Of course it is. Of course. Yeah, of course it is. OK, so let's go back in time and see what happened this week in Drew History.

11:10 OK, March 3rd, 2008 This was kind of a big deal and I feel like it doesn't get talked about very much. Drew appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and announced that she was personally donating $1 million to the World Food Program. So. Pretty awesome. This was a. Charity that she'd been involved with since 2005 when she travelled to Africa to experience their work, and she was named officially an ambassador against hunger for them in 2007. Here's a quote she said on the Oprah show. I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child's life.

11:52 It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future. I'm able to make this incredible donation. This has changed my life, but I encourage everyone to give like so cool if you guys were around in those days, you know, like she really like was really involved with this charity and I've we even like donated a future. Remember when they did that thing? It was like called like the wall and when you made a donation like your face went on this like virtual wall. We did one of those.

12:21 I don't think we have any screenshots, but the whole like red cup, fill the red cup like, yeah, it's like a whole thing. Multiple times for, like, years. I feel like around her birthday would be like, we made a donation and, your Honor. Yeah. And one of the times we went to see her in person, we, like, put everyone's names on a card, right? Yeah. She liked that so much. Like everyone who contributed to our donation to WFP, that was that. Was really neat. We'll have to share a photo of her with the card.

12:48 I took some pictures of her holding it, yeah. They're so pretty. Oh, yeah. You took those. That's right. Oh, my God. I was thinking Chris Miller did because he took the one of us with her. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Also on Oprah, Cameron Diaz called into the show as a surprise to let Drew know how proud she was of her for donating the money and informing people about the cause. And then Justin Long was with her in the audience and he said she's the most compassionate person I've ever met. So sweet.

13:15 We get like, she had like one of those giant checks that she actually signed, which is really cute. And also that same day, she went to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange with the WFP's executive director, Josette Sheeran, to further promote the foundation. So it's just like a really cool thing. Like it was a really big deal when she did this. And then it like, no one ever talks about it anymore. I don't know. I felt like when I realized it was On this date, I was like, oh, we got it. We got to bring attention.

13:44 Yeah, we got to mention this like, yeah, it's a, it was like a whole era of the World Food Program. So cool. That's so cool. Good, Paul. OK, let's talk about what's new with Drew. Here we go with the news, everybody. OK, It's a little dated now because we're only releasing episodes every two weeks. That Drew made a surprise appearance, like a cameo, if you will, on The Tonight Show during. So they had Mr. Beast there and they were doing the box of lies game that they do. And he was describing to Jimmy Fallon what was behind him.

14:21 And what was behind him was Drew skiing with Sasquatch. It's so. Good. It's so cute. Like so, so cute. Yeah. And I love that he's just like a very famous actress behind you like and. Apparently like he didn't even know that Drew and Jimmy were like close like Miss Jimmy just like commented on the post and said like I had no idea that they were like really good friends. I'm very curious like how this was arranged. Me too. Probably Chris. Of course, of course. Yeah, I'm sure Chris had a lot. Chris.

14:56 Miller Yeah. So like, if you guys don't know who we're talking about, Chris Miller was like Drew's production partner for a really long time at Flower Films, and now he's the showrunner at Night Show. I bet you're right. Yeah. Cuz that's like, of course. Like, of course it's so fun. Her like, bright pink jacket. She looked adorable. So cute and if you guys missed this we will share a link to the YouTube where that is available to watch. Yes, very fun. We I also have to mention that there is an upcoming cameo in Drew's ex sister-in-law Jill Cardman's movie.

15:30 It's called Influenced. It's coming out in the spring after some delays. I was filmed in the summer of 2024 under the title Miracle on 74th Street. I'm a little bit like, not that interested in the movie itself. Did you watch the trailer? Yeah, and I was like, I but I want to see if there's more of Drew than just this little tiny thing they show in on the trailer. Doesn't feel like it, right? It feels like the character that Jill's playing like interacts with ruin an event for saving manatees. Lipo for manatees.

16:04 Excuse me, I'm looking at the photo more closely. It's a little. But we have to say, like, there's a couple fun things about it. First, the outfit she's wearing in it is something that we saw her wear at an event. So it's kind of funny to be like, oh, that's where that weird outfit came from. I don't know how. It's like. It's a weird one. It's not just what? We saw it's one that we've all went, what the heck is this stress, Drew? I think you described it as looking like flesh in the middle. It does weirdly look like flesh in the middle, polka dotted and like the colors are fun, but for some reason the combo.

16:38 Anyway, we have, we'll just have to post a picture of it for you guys to see. Also, we spotted Olive Drew's daughter in the trailer for this. Super surprised to see her. Was surprising. I'm like jaw dropped. I like was like what? Like why was that olive? And it definitely is definitely I mean. I'm surprised that Drew let that happen, but maybe it was like, she's just gonna appear really quick. Like, you know, I don't, I don't know. I don't know. Definitely surprising and maybe we just leave it at that.

17:12 Also, this is obviously humongous news. It has officially been stated that Sony is developing a new Charlie's Angels film, and all we know right now is that they have hired writer Pete Chiarelli and some outlets are calling it a reboot. No one's really calling it a sequel. There's rumors that our Angels will be in this, but we don't know for sure. There's also a rumor that said it's unclear who's producing this, although one source said Drew and Flower Films are back for this version. No official information yet, but I mean you and I have been sensing the rumblings of this coming for over a year now.

17:54 Right, right. And anytime Drew is asked about it in any kind of like, pointed way, she like, kind of like, very intentionally, kind of like closes her mouth and like, you know, like. And when we brought that up to her, you and I were speaking to her, she was kind of like, yeah, I can't lie. Like I, I can't. Like, I couldn't lie about it. Like, I couldn't say no. So like, clearly I'd be shocked if this goes forward and she's not involved because she's made it seem like she's involved. We also know she's been super Mia from the Drew Barrymore Show this season, right?

18:30 In fact, they're not even doing a birthday episode. I said for her this year, which is just like, devastating. Yeah. So they. Couldn't top last year after we brought all our memorabilia. They're like they're like never again actually and an already. Came why even never try again? We never have to celebrate Drew's birthday ever again. But of course, yeah, we've known like Charlie's Angels rumblings around. But like, yeah, this is like one of those like announcements that has no info, like, you know, So we'll see what happens with this, but we are hopeful that it is.

18:59 Helpful and we are watching, yes. We are paying attention to see if Drew will appear as Dylan again. OK, so let's get into Hollywood Squares. I actually have not watched all the recent episodes, unfortunately. So I'm a couple episodes behind. OK. But we love this show guys. We we always love it. It's just delightful. Yes, episode 13 was scream themed. I bet you loved that. Yeah, I mean, it was like loosely, like they had David Arquette there, which is great, but it's kind of funny. Like Drew had to point out, I think at the very end of the show, this is actually more like a Never Been Kissed reunion.

19:36 We played brother and sister and that like they don't even share screen time and scream, but that's funny. Paramount, CBS, same company. Scream 7 is coming out tomorrow as of the recording, and so I think it was definitely intentionally done for that. Like they even had like Nate was. I don't want to spoil it for you, but Nate's wearing like buttons with like Drew and Scream, did I? See that? Maybe I watched that. One, you might have seen it on a. Clip of it. Yeah, maybe. I saw a clip of it. That was cute.

OK, true or false, Drew can play the bag pipes. False. Like where did that one come from? I love it though. She learned to surf in Hawaii. True. But like, I can see why somebody would think that was a pretty.

It's real special if those of you who know are immediately picturing this incredible cover that we'll be talking about momentarily. That's kind of what I meant. It's yeah, it's very, it's very unique. And this is a it's a great article. I'm so glad that we're doing this like a me. Too. 23:53 So we talked about how fun the article is. It's done by Zev Barrow. I want to note that he seems to have just fallen for Drew when he was doing this. Like, it's very funny, it's very relatable, but he just feels like he's got such a crush and so it's really cute. He's like ATV writer. I was trying to find if there was any way we could contact him, and I couldn't find, like, any direct. But yeah, he's still around doing stuff, so that's really cool. Love it. The photos were taken by the iconic photographer David La Chapelle, and this was their second shoot together.

24:28 They also did UK Premiere 1995. That might not sound familiar off the top of your head. As soon as you see the pictures, you would absolutely recognize them. They've printed in hundreds of magazines. It feels like there's like Drew with the grapefruit in the little waitress outfit. Like that one gets used a lot. Drew is the crazy bride cutting up the wedding cake. You guys know these pictures. So it's he's always very colorful, very unique, and that is no different with this shoe. Right. Absolutely.

24:57 It's like his style is so distinct. Yeah. Did they work together again or is it only those two times? I think it's only those two. Yeah, a little crazy. I'm like imagine what else they could create together. Man yeah so good. The hair was done by David Mallett and the makeup by Theory Maudoui, both French based Which the reason that there are French hair and makeup people is that the photo shoot and the article were all done in France. We'll explain a little bit more later. The styling was done by Greg Fay and Justin Laurie.

25:37 And just want to quickly note that there's really special kind of unique headpieces that Drew wears in all these photos, and those were done by Sarah Harmony for Alexander McQueen. I did reach out to her but didn't get a response. There was a very similar Alex McQueen headpiece in the Spring 1998 fashion show. In fact, I think we both thought it was the same headpiece, but the I looked at it from a few angles and it's it's not the exact same one, but I bet Sarah probably did that one too. Yeah, probably so.

26:11 OK. Are we ready to get into these incredible photos? I mean, this is going to be one of those things where, like, I'm not going to be able to do it justice. We can't. Yeah. So you have to see them. So make sure that you're either like watching along or hopefully you've got the image in your mind if you're a fan where it's been around. Giving you homework, You have to go look at these. You guys especially, like if you're here as a newer fan or a casual fan of Drew, you might be shocked by how like different these are for her.

26:39 They don't look like anything else she's ever done. Well, a little bit of Harper's Bazaar in 1996. I always thought there was a couple similarities, but other than that they're very unique. Actually, I do want to say regarding that because I'll just say right now she's wearing a black wig in a lot of these. And I don't know if I had a confusion, but I, I can only imagine that the first time I saw them I probably was like, when? When are these from? Yeah, cuz it's confusing you. Know from 1996 without a doubt.

27:08 Straight up, OK, the photo shoot was done in the Doordan, France, while Drew was filming Ever After. So that kind of places us in the time and the place the shoot was done at kind of like a castle called the Chateau Dubai Knock. So we just figured this out. I think we were like, I don't know, talking last week and I don't even know was I like, can we figure out where this was? I don't know how it came. Out but and I was like why didn't I try that? Yeah, did you do a reverse Google image search? Yeah.

27:37 And it immediately identified where it was. And then we they like found the photos that really like confirmed it wasn't just stupid Google AI guessing it was that it was that. It's so cool. I know I do want to have clarity. This is not the location that was ever used forever after different chateaus in the same exact area were used, but this one is unique to this photo shoot. Yes, it's so cool. Let's just get into the three setups. We'll get into the photos a little bit, but again, go look at them on the Drusium.

28:08 You have to. So one of the setups she has like how you describe it this way, an alien ish outfit. So it's like a tight fitting black, like leotard, basically latex. Yeah, and it's like it's like tight fitting on her body. And then it's got like a pattern on the front that makes it look like alien. It's like a really kind of perfect description. Thank you. The cover of the magazine and one photo inside are from this same setup. I also didn't like realize until we were doing this that like the photos are in a very like organized manner the way they are.

28:44 I know article. Where like, yeah, because this, the second photo is actually, if you remember, you open the cover and it flaps out and that's where that second photo is I. Forgot that. So it's even more so like connected. Yeah. Said she was wearing black wigs in these. This one's like a blunt, like Bob, basically with bangs. It's also like, interesting to see her with like, bangs. Like that's not really. Yeah, you know, so good. So I've always. Thought that this cover image is like the best look at the color of her eyes that you'll ever get.

29:18 Like I don't know if it was like very enhanced or not. Like it almost looks like she has sunflowers in her eyes. They're so amazing looking. So definitely zoom in and look at those if you're on the Patreon. Before we move in, I'll say a couple more things. So in the picture that's like the full body one, there's a couple things I love. I love how like the the outfit has like a pointed thing on her foot so it like it like points near her ankle. I think that looks really cool and she's barefoot and we can see her moon tattoo on her toe.

29:49 And it looks very dark. I mean, I guess it was fairly new at that time. It was maybe 4 years old. That's weird to think about. So weird. And we'll, I'll just like to go back to the cover for a second. It's super close up on her face. She's wearing one of the incredible headdresses that we mentioned early by earlier by Sarah Harmarney or however you say her name. So cool, like so unique, so cool. I don't even can we even do it justice? Can you imagine seeing this on stands with like no warning? No.

30:23 And the crazy thing is, so when I said at the top of the show that this is like our origin year, Anna and I became fans right at this time. But it was early days. Like we wouldn't have known about something like this unless we had come upon it. Detour. It was probably like in Borders Bookstore, I would imagine. But like, we would have had to know and we just missed this one and we both had to get it later. It's like right before I was really, really paying attention anyway, like it's yeah, right before.

30:51 And I don't remember when I got it, but I know it's something that like since the first time I saw it, has been like. That's so cool. Yeah. So let's talk about a little bit more about the pictures. Again, I'll stop saying go look at the pictures, but go look at the pictures. So the next set in the magazine, she is like standing in front of the Chateau, sort of like on this like rocky area in the front and wearing a curly wig, like curly black wig and this like, white Cape. So cool. I will say I feel like the closer up one kind of reminds me of those like Kevin Aquan, like makeup.

31:32 Yeah. You know. Pictures. Yeah. Her makeup looks almost like silent film star or something. It's really tense. And the Cape was actually done by the makeup artist, which is so random that says that in the credits. But yeah, these are very dramatic. I'm sure that the, like, lightning bolt behind her and one of them was probably inserted digitally. I have to imagine unless they got really lucky. Has to be. But they're very Moody, like very atmospheric, these ones. Yes, totally. And then the last setup is on top of the Chateau, which we found a match of the spot.

So anyway, she had sent us photos of them at one point years ago. For some reason I was randomly looking at them again and I noticed that this was in there and she had even commented on the time like she was very surprised and excited when it got printed so well.

I have been a fan of Drew for longer than I haven't, and never in my life have I come across an article so well written on her. That's cool, so good. I love that.
