We got a lot of random stuff to talk about. Yeah, some fun and random. OK. So we definitely want to put this out here and we could have put this at the end of the episode, but it's this kind of dovetails along with today's topic, which was our appearance on the TV show Collectors Call, our episodes Appraiser, Scott, he has a podcast of his own and it's called The Patrick Scott Patter Project, and he had us on his guests a couple of months ago, right?

1:40 That's when we did it. It was a little while ago. Yeah, he's he's good about recording ahead of time, something that we are not. I'm not on board with our end over here. He's like, OK, this is scheduled to come out On this date, you know, like 5 months from now. We're like, damn, must be nice to be so on top of it. We're releasing this episode in 2 days. You know, you know how it goes. That's just the way we got it do it. There's a video version available of this podcast. I think he releases his podcast like all over the place, but on YouTube there's a video version so you can look at our dorky faces as we talk about our love for Drew.

2:13 Yeah, it's actually really cute. I couldn't, like, bring myself to watch the entire thing, but I watch portions and I was like, yeah, like, cuz I'd forgotten. We get into like, early Internet nostalgia. Yeah, I really liked that conversation and it's really fun to just go back and listen to that. So check it out, guys. 2:43 All right, so let's get in a couple other fun things. We have to note the Jesse Butafuco interview from the Drew Barrymore Show. So if you don't know who that is, Joey Butafuco famously is the lover of the Amy Fisher. I don't really need to go into anymore. If you know, I don't know. Do we need to say anymore? No. Drew was in a movie called the The Amy Fisher Story that was based on a true story. They get into that and how the public sort of life surrounding this whole drama affected Jesse Butafuco.

3:17 It was great. It was great. It was a, it was like, for me, highlight of the season so far as far as like really meaningful interviews. She was so awesome. Like, total badass. Yeah. But it was so funny because I watched it first, and I texted you and I was like, I don't know. She, like, really sees Drew. Like, she understands Drew's history and trauma, like, in a way that we do. But I don't feel like most people do. So I texted you that. Yeah. Which agree? Would you agree? You've got that feeling.

3:51 Yeah, totally. So I had like reposted on our Drusium Instagram like a link or just like guys check this episode out. It was really good and I tagged Jesse, she responded and she said thank you so much. I actually used your website in my preparation for the interview to learn more about Drew. So cool. I was like. No wonder she sees Drew the way we do. She freaking used our research. That's so great, but it also allowed like those parallels to be made maybe I mean like the fact that we had anything to do with the preparation that's.

4:27 So weird. It made me feel really proud and really like we're doing something useful and you know, it's cool. Made me feel great. Yeah, it was. That's just a fun little bonus, you know, the fact that like, Drew is doing this and gets to host a show and talk to people who are impacted by her career in such a union way. Not that I don't know. You know, it's, it's fascinating. Definitely. Both of them talking about like weird fame and infamy sort of impacting their lives. Anyway, loved it. Yeah, OK.

4:58 So also I think we've kind of been tracking this a little bit. Maybe you told me about it a while. Ago I did. There's a new biography about Drew's aunt, Diana Barrymore. She's half sisters with Drew's dad. And it's written by Jennifer Ann Redmond. And she's been, yeah, sort of promoting it as it's, like, gotten closer and closer to coming out. I think it was the Dana Plato fan Instagram, the guy who runs that is really cool and he messages us a lot. And I think he was the one that gave me the heads up on this.

5:30 But yeah, I read like just a little bit in the Amazon sample. You know how you can like search a term and it'll sometimes show you some. There was some very interesting and upsetting stuff about Drew's dad in there. I'm very curious to see more about this book. Read it. But I did listen to the author on a podcast called Forgotten Hollywood. And man, there were definitely some really like strong parallels that I was able to draw from Diana's life and Drew's life. Like, I think it would be a very like rich thing for us to read and like just kind of learn more about that whole Barrymore curse, as they, they even called it apparently back in the day, even the Barrymore's themselves.

6:08 Called it the Barrymore curse because it was, like, happening to so many of them. Yeah, I mean, I guess if you guys don't know. Diana had written her own book. Yeah, which I don't think I've read. Called too much too soon? Is it too much too soon? So this book is called Too Fast Too Short. I don't know if we already said that, but yeah, we have not read Diana Barrymores other books. And maybe we should do like a special like Patreon episode about Diana or something, you know, like. That would be cool, I like it.

6:35 I don't know, we'll think more about this, but anyway, Jennifer and Redmond's very cool that like writing a book about like one of the lesser known Barrymore's who also had this experience. And that was kind of her point. Like, let's, let's not forget about her. Yep. Yeah, All right. Should we talk about some things that Drew has proclaimed her love for recently? I love, love. All right, a lot just. A couple this week. Yeah, I got a huge ass paragraph. OK, here we go. All right, Drew Love's game shows Apollo Santo of.

The only reason she married Will Will is Toppleman. I'm just kidding. OK, she loves small lamps, but don't worry, she doesn't discriminate. She also loves lamps of all sizes, of course. True. She loves a cafe curtain. Which I. Know what that was until I looked it up. You know what it? Is it's just like a little tiny curtain at the top of a.

Yeah, yeah, she loves when things she makes work, which is funny because I think it was like a beautiful appliance. And I do always get nervous when they use them on the show. I'm always like oh what if like the blender didn't work or something? Yeah, what would they have to do? After she's like, I made this, you know she loves chili quilas.

OK, I love, I love a long list of things Drew loves because she's just always saying how much she loves things. And it's funny because I had texted you, I was like, oh, I feel like we're making her self-conscious because whatever episode I was watching, she kept saying I like instead of I love. So I'd be like, Oh no, can't include it, but there were plenty.

You've got mail. Yeah. I think this was just like a, you know, messaging back and forth on Instagram message. But I'd like plucked this one little part out of something that he said. Because I just thought it was very kind and it meant a lot to me and it will to you too. Yes, OK, so Scott said. I became interested in what you do because it's true.

10:45 Yeah. So they did these like promos on Drew's Instagram stories where it was like 5 or 6 different photos of her. They were all cute new pictures from Ramona Rosales's photo shoot. We'd seen like 2 of them. They've been used in Us Weekly, but there was new ones, which was really pretty exciting. And each one, like, listed a place that you could supposedly buy these new styles of eyewear. Some of them actually do have them on their websites, Eye Mart Express and Asda. They did, but most of them did not, at least on the websites.

11:19 Yeah, including fucking Walmart. Like, we could go on and on about Walmart's website and how you can't find anything on there. Yeah, and then that there was also like BJ's and Chemist Warehouse and FGXI. Don't know what most of these places are, but yeah, you couldn't find them on their website, so maybe they have them in person. I don't know. It's so weird. All I can think is because I, I know, you know, I like they have them at the Walmart in middle of nowhere, Maine. Like I go into their, their eyewear section and there's a section of flower eyewear.

11:50 Like I'm like, what? But I just wonder, like maybe they're like the online system for any of these places. It's like too hard. But it's not because of course we want to like see all the details about it, see if there's, yeah, I don't know, more pictures, whatever. But yeah. So Flower Eyewear is out there, apparently. Still thriving, hopefully. I don't know, thriving might be a little, yeah. Who knows, if you go to any of these venues and you see them, like let us know what the display is like. I don't know.

12:19 You have no idea. It makes me want to like go. Back to the. Walmart's area and see if like anything has changed over there, like I don't. Know you got to take them for the team and go do that. Yeah, I guess so. I mean, Walmart's kind of, well, you know, it's like one of the only places to do to go out here. OK, So Drew wrote a foreword for the new book that designer Mikael Welch wrote called The Forever Home. And just like a side note, Drew has done like so, so many random 4 words for books. Like I guess it's a way for her to use her like, name for like friends and totally right.

12:54 Like, so it's really sweet. Yeah. I mean, some notable ones, of course, are like Ross's Tio and Tio, where she appears as like a little animated character. Yeah, me too. And the Misfits we've talked about by John Rosen. She did the forward 4. Anyway, there are a few more, and I just had to note that, like the first line says, I love this man. I'm like, OK, well, one more love for Drew Loves. I love everything in the world. OK lastly, this is the biggest and the most exciting news. The Drew Barrymore Show just won three Daytime Emmys like 2 days ago.

13:33 Most importantly, Drew's first ever because she won for outstanding Daytime Talk series host. Hell yeah. Hey, Drew. I think Kelly Clarkson always wins, so unfortunately Drew wasn't even there. I like, it's almost like, well, we're not gonna win. So like, you know, nobody bothered going except for Ross. But yeah, also so cool to the hairstyling and makeup team. They won for outstanding hairstyling and makeup. We know some of those people and they're all so cool. And then also outstanding directing team, which I was like, I wonder who that who gets that one?

14:09 Like it. I wonder if we even know who those people are cuz we know a lot of producers but. I was kind of wondering the same thing, like if the Daytime Emmys, like, list those people's names. Drew Barrymore show outstanding hair and makeup. Yeah, list their names. Head makeup artist Lauren Gullino. Makeup artist Joanna Pizzani. Joanna. She did artist and hair stylist Daniel Howell. Oh, and then hair styles. Tony Coburn. Yep, she did our hair too. Oh, cool. And then hold on, let me go to the directing team.

14:39 Oh, I don't even know these names. That's that's what I thought. OK. The director, Scott Teitelbaum, Associate Director Sarah Tanner and stage managers Veda Carey and Liz Keene. I think we met Liz. Oh yeah, we did. Liz is the one that walked us down to the set and all that. Yeah, cool. One of our friends. Cool.

15:02 I just wish Drew had been there. It's such a bummer. Like. I would have. Loved to see her accept her Emmy. Me too. I mean, yeah, like, you're right. She must have. Just not well. I also just have this weird we haven't talked about this on the pod. We've talked about privately. She is not in a lot of segments of the Drewberry Marshall right now. They're doing a lot without her. We've we've need jokes about it privately for sure. Like what Les Drew like? It's The Drew Barrymore Show. 17:29 I think we only like really, really, really announced it last episode, but we did this a long time ago. We're going to tell you the whole background of it, and it finally came out last week in between our two podcast episodes. So this is our time to talk about it. If you guys haven't seen it, we are working on that, yeah. We're working on it. We have some way that we're hoping to get it out there for you. It's on ME TV, which is just like an over the air channel. I don't even know if they air reruns of the show.

18:01 I hope they do so more people can see it. Anyway, I got a chance to watch it live at my parents house in Fontana. I'm glad I was there. Crazy. Timing. Yeah, so I mean, so good. I just happened to be in California last week. But I do want to say like a big, big caveat about the collector called episode if you watched it, there's so much of our collection that they literally could not represent on TV. And that had a lot to do with like clearance rate. So items couldn't be included on the Drew Barrymore Show, which will explain the link in a second, including like magazines and photos.

18:37 So they didn't end up on collectors call either. So it's kind of a strange like even when they do like devout the valuation like yeah, yes, Scott mentions it in the episode. But anyway, there's a lot that visually is not represented. A lot. So if you're here and you watch that and you're coming straight to our episode somehow, like make sure you like spend some time on the museum to understand like the breadth of the collection. Yeah, especially I would imagine if you're like a regular watcher of that show, which I would be if I had access to if it was streaming, which it's not.

19:08 They usually are in the person's home and like, you know, maybe there's like a room that's dedicated to their collection or rooms, plural. And this was filmed in New York where neither of us live. And anything that was there, we had to get there. So it was a unique situation for them, for us. And we want to tell you all of the bat behind the scenes info about it. Yes, yes. Also, just another note, collectors called pick some items that they wanted to feature out of which like we chose like 10 to 15 items that we considered like, you know, the coolest, like top items in the collection.

19:47 And some other items that weren't chosen were a test Polaroid that was taken for People magazine and is 82. Yeah. Mad Love production materials. Some really special reference pictures for Scream special effects. A shirt from 51st states, a prop from 51st states that we did film a section about and then they didn't use and a shirt from Whip it. Anyway, there's a lots of other cool stuff, but it's like very much so like paring it down. Like it just made me think like the behind the scenes of like all of these episodes.

20:18 Totally, I know. It's why a. Hard job to like. These are the things we're going to feature like right? And only these. Right. And like they. Yeah, how do they select which are the coolest? I mean, I we're really happy with how it ended up, but it was just a, it's a very strange process. So should we get into the background, go back in time a little bit? Let's. Do it. So OK, they first reach out to us just through an e-mail way back in September 24. So I can't believe like a year ago this all began.

So as we mentioned our fellow Juby, Patrick Scott Patterson, or known as Scott, he had worked with them previously doing like a video game collection episode and he pitched the idea of an episode about a Drew Collector collection and obviously that would be us. Yes. That's kind of our thing. Yeah, which was so cool. So pretty soon after that proposal, we had a fun Zoom call with, I think they're both producers, so it's Diana and Mike. I can't remember what Diana's actual title is but the the call went really well.

21:27 We were like feeling the vibe. It was like really it felt like we at that point we were talking about doing it at my parents house in Fontana and like staging the collection in a room because both Ashley and I do not really have our collections on on display. Sadly. In ways that we used to at certain points in our lives. So it would have had been totally staged anyway, and then it ended up being totally staged. In a different, I know that's kind of funny, but it was still going to be the same. It was still going to be February, which is kind of funny, like just ended up that's sort of what they had room on their schedule.

22:01 So after that call, we didn't hear anything for a couple months, but we had started working with the Drew Barrymore Show on F 50th birthday episode appearance at the same time. So like, literally while we were waiting for collectors called like, get back to us, we had started this conversation with the Drew Barrymore Show, which is like, we're like, wild. Why are we so important all of a sudden we're having all these television producers? It was weird and wild, weird and wild. And if you want to know, like the background and the history of how we appeared on that show, our episode 99 kind of talks about all that.

22:38 So we're going to knock it into the details of that this time around. Yes, yes. So then we received an e-mail in November of last year saying we've been working with the Drew Barrymore people regarding the shoot you're doing with them. We will also be there that day to tape a special moment for collectors. Call with all of you and. I remember, I remember reading that e-mail and being like, what? Like they're talking to each other about us. Like, we had no idea because we didn't tell collectors call.

23:09 Yeah, we were talking to them. I don't know even how they found out. Like, I honestly have no idea. I would imagine they had reached out, like, oh, is Drew able to do, like, a video or something for this episode? And they went, oh, those girls are already scheduled to be here. So weird, guys. It was very. Weird. I feel like you were very like, yeah, that makes sense. And I was just like, flipping out, like I just couldn't believe it. And you were very like, OK, yeah, I get it. But I also feel like the, you know, just casually, we're going to be there for a special moment for clerk and Paul with all of you were like, what does that mean?

23:45 Yes, the special moment term definitely got used a lot and we kept going. What does that look like? Like we just can't even. We have no idea. Yeah. And again, we'll talk into like we'll talk about what that means. But yeah, so we got this like kind of casual, like we're working with the people regarding the shoot or doing with them like we'll. Be there too. Yeah. So then we did like another important Hollywood business meeting where we went on, we went on a Zoom with producers of both shows at the same time.

24:12 And and I was just kind of like sitting quietly listening to them make all these arrangements about us. It was a trip. Somebody even commented on it like thanks. You guys were like, we're sorry. We're just like talking about you while you sit there. It was, it was really cool. It's a kind of. Really cool. I actually think I have a screenshot of it. But yeah, we got to just listen to them work at the logistics of how they, we're going to do these two shows, both shows back-to-back in the in the CBS studio.

24:39 So it was literally like, OK, collectors call, crew will be there. The girls are going to be miked for both shows. We're going to film the Drew Barrymore show segment. We're going to wrap that collectors call. You need to whoops, sweep in with your cameras and your crew, film this special moment, and then our collection would be moved by like the Teamsters who work on the show to the rehearsal space to film the bulk of our collectors call episode. So it was just like, that's how it's going to go.

25:13 We're like holy shit. And like, I mean, this did actually happen. And it was wild. The, yeah, the logistics, it was so interesting. Whirlwind interesting. It was all very interesting. Like, literally as we were like, talking to Drew and filming this thing on Drew's set, they were like removing the collection behind us. Like I think one of the pictures you literally can like see someone's back like grabbing something. After like taking. A picture with Drew, like, you know, it was like, it's daytime TV.

25:46 They're just like, OK, next, you know? Like they had a whole another episode to film Drew's show right after a break. So yeah, it was very. All the decisions you have to make, like every second, like I can't, I can't even imagine being that in that environment. And then we did continue filming more collectors call the following day in a different space. So there was like even more logistics that happened here. I remember like getting concerned about a lot of these logistics and having to tell myself this is not your problem, you are not in charge.

26:16 Like just go along. They know what they're doing. Cuz I just like get so nervous about those things. Yeah, yeah. But like, they had it down, they got it. It happened. Yeah, it all worked. They somehow recorded two shows and it was fine. OK, so let's just get into like what we can kind of remember about the day is, like Ashley said, if you haven't listened to the episode about the Drew Barrymore Show Whirlwind, that'll give you even more background because we also recorded that like right after it happened.

26:45 So if you're interested in more about like how we were feeling logistics, there's a lot more there. All right, day one. So as we said, as soon as the Drew Barrymore Show wrapped their show and the audience saying happy birthday to Drew, we were there for that. I know we're just, like hovering awkwardly behind her because we weren't. We couldn't move. Yeah, we had to stay there. And it's kind of cool that on the social media, like we are behind her singing her happy birthday for her 50th. It was it was really crazy and cool, you guys.

27:19 So as we said before, collectors call like rolled right up on stage and started filming our special moment like it was within like minutes. Yeah, like it. Was so fast, so fast. And I love that, you know, that the Douglas Drew's dog was at her feet. Like, it was just very, like, I don't know, surreal in so many ways, but that was like, yet another detail. Yeah. And the host of Collectors Call is Lisa Welchel, which you might know her best as Blair from Facts of Life. So there is like clips on the episode which I'm glad to see these cuz like that's all just like a blackout for me.

27:54 I don't really remember a lot. But they like announce Lisa and so she like runs out in the audience is all still sitting there and they like clapped for her and stuff. And Drew and Lisa were really excited to see each other cuz they've become friendly over the years with Lisa's appearances on the show. And this was the quote UN quote special moment. So this is kind of like Lisa saying and Ashley, here you are with Drew and you know, of course Drew kind of just like Drew didn't even know she was doing this.

28:25 This was literally sprung on her because her whole birthday episode is a surprise. So she couldn't know we were there. And they're like, you're doing this now and like being such the freaking pro that she is, she just like rolled right into it with 0 preparation and had no problem. Like she just like blows me away that she can do that. It's amazing. I mean, I know they're like Lisa Andrew both had that like incredible ability to just like, right here's what's happening. Go. Yep, on the fly. I mean pros like little pros.

28:56 Total pros. Ashley and Drew her very self. I've known them for years and I always brag about how the only picture I have of my mother and father together is because they were kind enough to give me that photo and it's hung on my wall in my home ever since. My personal life has been so benefited by you guys caring enough to find things that I've never had access to beyond any movie paraphernalia. I have evidence of my mom and dad to gather things to you guys. I met them. So many years ago, and I was so in awe of your intentionality and your energy because there's nothing indulgent about this.

29:42 There's something just really positive at play and I knew that it was on a human level and that's all I care. About We just love to celebrate your life and it's so rich and there's so many lessons to be learned from you and we're just out here to. Thank you guys. So happy birthday. OK.

I still I will never understand how this how we've gotten here. This is crazy. Pretty, pretty amazing guys. And I think that we have sensed some of this stuff like that she gets what we're there for. Like she knows we love her, but there's like nothing sinister about it. We're not creeps. Yeah, I mean, like we're creeps in our own way. But like, you know, anyway, I think the the way she described her impression of us and how that has like we have personally benefited her life.

30:48 Like what? Anyway, that was that special moment was really special. It was we could have possibly have known that also like after that we're like, what did she say? Like what it? Was so great to see it on TV because I was like, I didn't remember any of this. That she said like this is so cool. Right, right. And like, while we're talking to her, there's this like look on her face that's so like touched and, uh. Yeah. It was insane. And they have really cool, like footage like before that starts like kind of behind the scenes of like us kind of talking to her privately, which it's just really, really, really neat.

31:24 So I hope everybody gets to check it out. Yeah, it's really neat. I also was realizing in the show they don't really explain that we were doing a thing for Drew's 50th, but. No, we were wondering like, are they going to explain that we're even at her show? Like they didn't, Which they didn't kind of. You just had to know, I guess. I guess, or I guess for like people who are watching it like they just probably don't, they don't need to fill in those gaps. I guess it's like, where are they? How is this happening?

Anyways, that's what we're here filling in the gaps anyway. So like we said, once we were done with that moment, which like whirlwind, incredible, amazing moment, the items were like literally being moved into the rehearsal space, like behind us, like disappearing as we were like, and they, they did it all. Like they moved everything. They reused some of the shelving that they've used on the Drew Barrymore's 50th show for the backdrop.

32:23 Fletcher's call. Like if you're paying attention, you can like see totally out of the same, like the way it's set up even. And then we were given lunch, which were so cool. And we felt so like, I don't know, we were, we were, we were talent guys. It was weird. Also, I just remembered as we were walking to the rehearsal space, Drew, Drew like coming to go up those stairs that they always film her coming down when she's getting ready for the show or just like hi bye. And her assistant had the Ethel Barrymore photo that we had given her.

32:54 Yeah, we didn't even mention that, but yeah, I guess we mentioned it on our episode about the. Show. Yeah, we did. Another thing just about that Ethel Barrymore picture, we I didn't remember that they took a picture of Drew holding it with us and Scott. And then at the end of this episode, it just appeared. We're like. Have no memory of taking that picture at all, so we'll share that one because it's really cute. So we got to have our hair and makeup touched up by Ramonda Marku. She's at beauty under score by under score Ramonda on on Instagram, and she was really cool.

33:35 I do remember that I, I brought two of the same shirt and I had like sweat through it so badly because we, we were doing stuff for so long and I just, I'm a sweaty person and I like shit to went to take it off and switch into the other one and I got makeup on it. So then I it was a whole thing, but it worked out. You were in the room. I feel like you remember you telling me, but did you go back to the other shirt or did you clean off the one that I? Think I had to and then I like cleaned it off for the next day because we'd to wear the same clothes the next day so I had like the new shirt on the next anyway, the things.

34:10 Behind the. Scenes. Magic of television? Yes. Well, yeah, thank you, Ramanda, for making us look a little fresher after. Like, I think we'd had our makeup done. Like, what time was it when the Drew Barrymore show did our makeup? 9 or something? Yeah, probably 10 in the morning. I don't remember. Yeah. So then it was like 2:00 PM Yeah. I don't even know what time it was. Yeah. OK. Then it was time to film for Collectors Call. So they like had set up this thing after we ate. Yeah, we were just kind of chilling eating and watching them, like set up all the cameras, set up all the stuff.

34:46 It was, I mean, all of this. We love this shit. We love the behind the scenes. So love the behind the scenes and I remember just feeling this like sense of like chill, like I just felt so calm and comfortable at that point because I think we'd already had this huge like adrenaline spike. I think we can attribute this somewhat to the collectors called crew absolutely because like they were so cool, so chill, had it together, small crew, but like really worked well together. And I, you know, I think they kept saying like, thank you to us for seemingly being prepared and we can only imagine like, well, we've been doing this podcast so we're like used to talking to each other.

35:25 Anyway, it went really smooth. So kind of the format was they went through the 6 featured items that they had chosen and we like, you know, they bring that one to the forefront and we would give background on them and we would take pictures posing with them. It was kind of interesting because they asked us, you know, beforehand to prepare. Like how did you get it? How much did you pay? So unfortunately I've kept horrible records of that stuff. Don't ask me why I had to, like, dig so deep into old, like, emails and like, looking at, like, eBay feedback and trying to fill in the blanks.

36:01 It was this that item. So a lot of it was kind of like guessing work. But yeah, it just happened to be. We just don't spend a lot of money when we've been very lucky. Everything We're like couldn't have been more than $200. Right. And the fact that like a lot of the things that they're talking about, like would have been collected for the jersey and like many years ago, yeah. So yeah, you're like, I wouldn't have spent $1000. Like I just wouldn't. Have like. There's no way. And we're just frugal, you know, like, I think, I think in general, like we, we have many stories of knowing people have paid a lot for something and then we're like, we like waited for the right moment or we're lucky and we didn't, you know, like whatever it is.

36:44 So we've been pretty lucky. So I'll just like list a couple things really quick. So they did the ballet outfit from when drew as a little little kid before she did ET the Firestarter chair back, which was the director's chair back, by the way. It's really hard to find like other things like that that the chair back because I was, I don't know, it's weird Christmas cards from flower films, which were incredibly special. Obviously the dress from never been kissed, the prom dress guys, that is so cool.

37:11 And when you see that in the background of any of the images from the show or anything, it's like immediately recognizable. It's so cool. The Charlie's Angels costume from their band moment at the end of the first movie. And then we had filmed a moment about this badge from 51st States that's in the Jerusalem. But they ended up not using that in the show. And I remember when they did it, I was a little bit like, this is not. It's like hard to like explain why it's cool. They probably didn't show that well.

37:39 We wouldn't have picked that one, but they ended up picking it and then obviously they decided not to use it, which is kind of funny, right? Right. So they filmed about six, and then we ended up cutting it down to five. And I think we already said this about like, Lisa's professionalism. Lisa Welchel, Like she was so cool, so funny. Oh my God. And you already kind of mentioned like how chill it was, including the fact that we had like her there and. She was so like down to earth and funny. I'm like, I totally get why her and Drew would get along.

38:11 I was crazy that she's also been famous the most of her life. She was awesome and I was very like, as we already said, I was very impressed with how on the fly she could just like they'd be like dude, say something like this and she just boom, do it so and sounds so good. You have a pun in there. Yes. Amazing. I mean, I guess this is maybe like when we talk about how like, lovely and down to earth Drew is. Maybe it's because they've been famous their whole lives. Yeah. You know, like, I know not everyone is like this, but like, I don't know, just know.

38:40 Just knowing how to be a human. Like, I think they really know how to be humans, right? So let's get into D2 a little bit. So now at this point, we've like left the Drew Barrymore Show, but we're just doing all the second unit is that. What? Yeah, I guess it was, oh, man. And just I I love like just putting myself back in that space. And it was like freezing in New York. But like, remember, we like, went and got really good Mexican dinner that night. It was like super. And then the Mike from Collector's Call, amazing guy, so sweet.

39:15 He while we're at that dinner, he sent us like 40-50 behind the scenes pictures he had taken. Yes. And he's like, I know it's kind of a lot, but I just, I'm really into cherishing memories. And we were like, are you kidding me? This is amazing. Like he's the reason we have them all. Yeah, We had no idea. He was just, like, taking tons of pictures behind the scenes. It was so great. Yeah, it was funny. He was apologizing for, like, the influx. We're like, no, like this is you are. This is our jam.

39:42 Like, that was so cool. Yeah. I'm glad you mentioned that. Like, yeah, we had like a good meal. We were like just pinching ourselves like, yeah, in like like total like Zen zone, like whatever. We didn't know what was happening. So day 2, we this was already like obviously part of the plan. So we had done the Drew Barrymore show and we knew there was going to be a second day with collectors call. So they had like set up at an office building to do all the like, basically like film us, like interviews with us.

40:12 Where they like staged the background once again with like collection items and I I mentioned that never been kissed dress because there's one part where like they do Scott's interview and you could like see that never kissed dress just like still waited blurry in the background. It looks so cool. Yeah, but it was, it was really, it was really cool. Like in one room they were doing these like very good, like Steadicam close up shots of all the items and it was and they were so good about like having us bring them over, having us handle them like they wanted to handle the items as little as possible.

40:47 They were very cool and understanding about that, which makes sense with what their show is. But right, it was very meaningful to us that they were like, OK, we need this item now. Like they let us bring it over. That was happening in one room and I have a couple like cool videos and pictures of that. But mostly we were just being present. And then in the other room they had like these talking head one-on-one interviews with us and we had to like set up the background, remember? Cuz like it was just this weird rented space that like kind of looked like a living room.

41:17 And so they had us like fill in the background with whatever items that we had that we thought looked good, which was really fun. It's like, and they were like, you're barely gonna see this on the show. Like don't worry too much about it. And they were right. So just. Flash and I remember being so worried just like to like a little bit more behind the scenes, like we had gotten our makeup professionally done at the Drew Barrymore show. And then for the second day, I was like, I'm not going to look the same.

41:41 My hair's going to look like shit. My makeup's you know, and and yeah, it's so fast and I think we look great and both and like anyway, they. Were right, they know what they're talking about. Right. And edit and yeah, and editing. Like, I guess, I guess we're almost to the point where we're going to say that episode takeaways. But like, I was so worried that day being interviewed, I kept like stumbling over my words and messing up and I was like, they're not going to be useless. I was so like, uh, and then like the little bits that are on the show, I'm like, oh, I don't sound like an idiot and I look

42:12 fine. That was also like a very, that moment I remember of like sitting in the chair and the like lights and cameras around me and they're there. Lisa different Lisa, Lisa Carl, the producer was like off to the side to ask me questions. You know, I had this very like, oh, this is that moment you always see in a documentary where the like the person sitting down and getting ready to start the interview. I was like, I'm in that moment right now. This is so weird. It was surreal to be like, yeah, the lights are on me and they're after they there is interested in what I have to say.

42:45 Like it was weird, but it was also like it was so validating, right? Like I think just like for them to be interested in why we're collecting what like, why we love her like. Being treated like the experts that we are. Yeah. So what else do we even say about like that? I guess the one other thing I'll say about like this, that second day about like them photographing stuff and like watching them, like, you know, set up the cards with the lights and all that stuff. I was just like, whoa, this is like, it feels like to us they're collection items.

43:21 But it felt like, I don't know, it elevated it. This whole thing kind of elevated the things. Like I thought about the fact that like, wait, we basically have like sort of exhibited them. Yeah, finally. Even though it was like, yeah, on the show for a split second and on collectors call, like for a split second, like technically beyond our online exhibit, we've now exhibited them on TV. It's our pop up. Our pop up that, you know, only people who watch the source get to see and pay attention to for a second.

43:52 I mean it anyway. So, so, so surreal. Oh, so actually watching it again. Like so much time had passed, and so there was a lot we didn't remember. Also, like, just the whirlwind, you just kind of black out at moments. It's so weird how that happens. But yeah, so it was so cool to see the stuff I'd forgotten about, especially the stuff with Drew. It was such a, like, joyful and cute episode. Like there were all these fun little animations that they did that we really enjoyed. And then? We provided, you know, a lot of personal photos.

44:25 Again, I'm sure that they were so like grateful to us to be those types of people that they could say, do you have a picture of this, this, this, this, this, this. And we were like, Yep, here you go. All uploaded in this folder. Enjoy. So we gave them a lot to work with and it it really, it was really neat, like to see the old pictures of us like at the beginning of our friendship and. So, so funny. Like a bunch of us from like, yeah, one of the first times we really, really hung out and I'm like 15 with braces.

44:53 Like, yeah, I was like, we are, we have been doing this a long time. And it's like, it was cool to have them go through the history and like in such a beautiful positive light. Like not that I expected anything differently, but like, I think because our story has such a like wholesome, you know, like we're like we met on a message board. I don't know. There's just so much like, I don't know, the time and the consistency and the like friendships that have like come out of it. Like they were able to sort of like play up our friendship like.

45:26 Yeah, I think you're right. I think, I mean, there's a lot of factors that play as to why, but there's, I don't think from like if I'm trying to put myself in an objective outsider's perspective, who watched the episode, I don't think you'd come away going. What are a couple of weirdos like? I think you go, oh this is actually really sweet and cool I hope. Yeah, I hope so too. And I think, well, I also wonder like if they've had like other collectors who are like friends that collect a duo. Yeah, I think they've had maybe like married couple or.

45:57 Something. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. I feel like they're like couples or people who live together or something. We're a unique experience for them in a lot of ways. Also, I thought it was really fun and I was sort of surprised after dealing with the, like, crazy clearance issues for the Drew Barrymore show. It was kind of hilarious to me that they included a picture of us with Jolena and Tess without even, like, asking them for their permission. It's OK, okay. They're like, we're on me TV, no one cares.

46:26 Nobody cares. And yeah, like we got to, we got to represent the Druby's guys on TV. I know. And it was also like, this is now they use that term so much and they're like marketing for the episode and the promo. I'm like, this is so cool. Like finally that term is like out there, like everyone knows like the Swifties or like, you know, the beehive or whatever they call it for Beyoncé. I'm like, now maybe some people actually know what a Druby is. This is awesome. Yeah, some of the promo said things like if you're not a Druby yet, like you will be after this episode, but you're like, it's really.

47:04 So cute. It's so. Cute. So guys, we are, we were so touched. Like, I mean, I think seeing the episode, I just had no idea what to expect facts. Like I didn't, I mean, we've seen the episodes. We know what that we know what collectors call is like, but like. But this was a weird one, like and they like also had to like pull these different setups and different like there was a lot of different pieces. It's like, how are these going to go together? And they pulled it off great. They did it beautifully.

47:30 And I will say once again, you said something about the animations, but there were so many little cute ones. Like, I'm sorry, I just have to like point out like there was one where like you had sent a picture of like magazines on the ground and like they animated them like Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo Boo like one at a time dropping into the frame. We're good to like, literally our hobby became for like a it's, we didn't get paid for this, but we, there's so much about it that like benefited us, like validating what we do, continuing like it's encouraging to continue what we're already doing.

48:59 Yeah. Yeah, it's just a hobby, but it's like, I don't know, you know? It's obviously worthy of television. So it's it's not just like stupid and Drew cares about it. Hello. We have benefited her life personally. Quote UN quote. So hobby becomes whatever is above hobby, that is. Yeah. You know, like, I don't know, somewhere between like hobby and profession. I mean, I guess. I mean, it is technically my career that I've made out of this. I don't know. One of my friends, she watched it, she loved it.

49:33 She's like, I really loved the part where they like talked about Anna's career and showed the picture. I was like, yes, like I've made her take that picture because I was like, you have to include this. I'm. Glad they included it too. It was, Yeah, I thought it was. I thought it was fun that like they asked what for pictures of me maybe working or something and I was like I don't know, I can take something silly. And it ended up being so cute. And it was like, even like then Lisa was able to be like, you owe your career to Drew like it was.
